Finally Finished!

I know! It's so shocking! I finally finished my biggest BAP to date. The deed was done last Saturday as I was sitting on the patio with my mom. She asked if it was anti-climactic ... lol. Not at all! When my sister finished, she described how she felt as empty. I don't feel that way. I feel rather liberated. I can move on to other things I've been wanting to stitch. Well, to be honest, I've already moved on!
Since you've already seen the rest of And They Sinned (over and over again), here's a final view of the last section ...
And since I signed mine differently, I had a little space next to the last tree on the right. I used it to add a little bunny and some more initials. This picture didn't come out as well as I'd hoped ... sorry about that.
I'm a little short of time this evening, so I'll show you my new starts (yes, that's plural) next time, along with a WIP I got to work on while riding to and from Minnesota. But first, there will be a few hours (optimistically speaking) spent cleaning out my closet. I'm not allowing myself to do anything fun until that's done. Golly, it's tough to force myself to do necessary tasks when I just wanna stitch!
Make some fun.

Congrats on the finish, it's gorgeous. Re the bag on my blog - yes it is kitted by the owner of the store. She sews samples and then makes kits. She is wonderful with fabrics.

I'm happy dancing for you here in New York, Doris! It's beautiful. And I agree with you about it not being anticlimactic. When I finished a BAP like that I feel sooooo good. Like I've accomplished something.

How much patience this must have required. I would feel relieved and happy, not empty at all. Proud too.
RCJ - day after day she is with you; because I have teenage daughters, I can somehow "share" your feelings.
Can't wait to see what you will be stitching next.

Doris - I'm just doing a happy dance on your finish! Congratulations! Don't you just love it! I'm surprised that you didn't feel empty when you finished it though. I felt lost for days - don't get me wrong, I was happy to finish it, but I felt like I had lost my best friend or something.

But again, it's beautiful and a huge congratulations to you. I love your addition of the rabbit and your change in the wording. I think you need to post a picture of all three of them framed. Is your mom done with hers yet? That's another thing - that the three of you stitched this at the same time. So much fun!

Can't wait to see what you've picked up next.

Whoo Hooo!!!! Happy dancing right here in my office for you!!! I love so much about your ATS - the pond, with the ripples, is brilliant and I love that you put Bekah's initials near yours; that brought tears to my eyes.

I still, on occassion, just stop and look at mine and wonder how in the world I ever got it done!

Congratulations!!!

Stunningly amazing. Holey schmoley. Congratulations to you!

P.S. What does it feel like to finish something that big? I'd like to write it down so that when hell freezes over and I finish something I will recognize the experience.

Wohooie! Congratulations! I just love this project, though I'm too scared to start it myself. Gotta work my way through some smaller BAPs first, LOL.

Wow!!! Beautiful finish Doris! You are my hero. I tried to stitch ATS years ago, but started having heart palpitations because it's so big. I ended up putting it away! LOL! :) Congrats!!

Hi Doris. I am in complete awe!! WOW! Beautiful work from a set of busy hands. Wanted to visit your blog and thank you for entering my giveaway. I have been reading some of your posts and I want to tell you how sorry I am to hear of your Mother's illness. I do hope things go well for her. I lost my Mother to the "c" word four years ago and I miss her dearly.
