Better Late Than ...

My new work schedule is really getting in the way of my fun. It'll take some time to adjust, but it'd be nice if it happened soon. All of my work tasks are getting done, but my other endeavors are suffering.

Take, for instance, TUSAL. I should've posted a picture more than a week ago, but it didn't happen. So here you are ... One thing I could do on the way home from work is to pick up a newly framed item. Here's a picture of Twined Heart, a little Shepherd's Bush band sampler that I finished a while back.

I think the frame is so pretty that I had to try a close-up picture of it, even though my photographic skills are right up there with any seven-year-old's. Why did I let this project sit unfinished in a drawer for so many years? What was I thinking?

How about a little visit to Eden? Here's my progress on Evil Serpent. I kept thinking that I'd have this finished by now. It's getting close, so maybe on my next post ...
On 40-count, this is a tiny sampler ... only four by six inches ... or so. When I brag about finishing it, I'll show you some of the things I did differently than charted. I'll have to go close-up again, so get ready for some more amateur photos. Maybe I'll finish this weekend!

As soon as Evil Serpent is finished, I'm going back to Shores for Block 2. I've been watching FayeRaye's progress, and I'm gonna try to keep up with her. Debbie asked me if I'm gonna rest between Shores blocks or keep on keepin' on. I think I'll continue to work on a couple of things between blocks. Each block is such a good little project that it just makes sense to have a little different scenery in between.

Happy weekend ... make some fun.

What a cute finish! How in the world do you see when you stitch on linen that small? I am so chicken to attempt something like that!
Love the little SB finish. The frame is really perfect for it.
I don't think your photography skills are up there with a seven year olds! LOL You do a great job.

Getting use to a new schedule is difficult, isn't it. I find myself trying to work back into my lazy ways!
Have a great weekend.

The SB is really pretty and the frame is perfect! Love the little A&E sampler - brave you on 40 count! I love the look, just don't like working on it too much!

Hope your schedule smoothes out soon - I know how unsettling that can be!

I love reading your posts! You are so funny!
And I can see you have been busy stitching, look at that jar?
The SB is so pretty and the frame is perfect for it.
And by the way, if you want amateur photography, look at my pics! Oh my, at least your camera will focus close up (or it's probably me). I'm now using my husbands 10 year old evidence camera. My pics I have taken on it are evidence I spend alot on stitching! LOL
Hope you get some good rest this weekend.

Hi Doris,
Your framed SB piece is adorable! And you are going to be finished with Evil Serpent in no time. I know what you mean about the work schedule. I know how much I miss the lazy days of summer. I am going to check out your SoHRH links. I just finished block 1 tonight. :) Post a pic when you get a chance. :)
Have a great weekend!

I've got my fingers crossed for you that your schedule settles down soon so you'll have more time to post WIP pics. :) SB is gorgeous and the frame choice is wonderful. Love the fabric for Evil Serpent and (yay) sounds like it's almost time for happy dancing!

Funny how work get in the way - I know the feeling, I went back to the office last Monday and have not been unable to spend any time for personal activities since.... Tuuut, tuut, tuuut - this won't do.
Your stitching is beautiful, and I love the framing. When I see what you do, I always think I should do the same...

Your plan of attack on Shores sounds perfect. Each of those blocks is like a separate project! I was doing that, and think that I'm going to have to do that again - it is a beautiful piece! And you're going to love Block #2 - it's fun and has some great colors in it.

And I love your SB Twined Heart and the frame you picked out for it is perfect! Isn't it funny how something lays around for a while and then one day it's framed and you wonder what took you so long to frame it? I'm a victim of that same thing, But now it's framed, and it's beautiful!

Hope that your schedule eases up so that you can get to all the things that you want too!

And can't wait to see the finish on the Evil Serpent piece. Wasn't that fun to stitch???

Your Twined Heart is just fabulous! The frame is perfect for it. Looks like you're close to a finish on Eden! YGG! My friend Joann (alas, no blog) just had hers framed and it is FAB-U-LOUS! I need to get my needles fired up and stitch some more A&Es. I'm eagerly anticipating Plum Street's Paradise Lost. Market can't come quick enough!
