Comin' Along

Wow! Another busy week that sped by. I can't quite figure out where my after-work hours are going, but I know that they're going quickly.

I heard from Jennifer (no blog) yesterday, and she has received Lo How a Rose. As soon as she receives her fabric, she'll be stitching away. She's even thinking of starting a blog (gasp)! I know! Once you get started looking around at what everyone else is doing, you just can't help yourself. It's kinda like potato chips or popcorn. Whether she does begin blogging or not, she will keep us updated on her progress. I think it'd be great if Jennifer decides to join the club here in blogland.

You're probably sick of hearing about Eden (or at least you'd like to see something else), but I couldn't persuade myself to do anything else with the little time I had, so here's how ATS is coming along ...

Ugh! Now that I see that picture on the big screen, it's not very good. Sorry about that. Anyway, in the last update (two posts back) I had filled in the grass to the bottom of the spotted sheep. That was March 29, so I guess that's not too bad. I got to stitch so much last Saturday that my elbow was sore. So I had stitch-ass and stitch-elbow. I was waiting for that big snowstorm to happen, but it missed us by about 25 miles (dang it). The weather wasn't pleasant, though, so I used it as an excuse to hang out in Eden.

This is Friday, and the number is 6. Yes, my beloved blogger buddies, six weeks until summer vacation. I've made my plane reservations to fly off to see friends in New England for a while. Plane fare this year is too good for words. I'm already looking forward to laughing so much that my face hurts by the time I go to bed. What could be better than friends who laugh that much? We have so much fun that, if my stitching is out at all, it usually just sits on my lap because I can't stand to miss anything. And Vermont and Maine ... ahhhhh, I love it there.

That's it for now. I'll try to work on something different. Make some fun.

Ohhhh, great progress picture. I never get tired of seeing other stitchers' progress pictures as usually they motivate and inspire me, so let the pictures come, lol.
Only 6 weeks! They will be over in no time. And what a great plan of visiting Maine and Vermont ...

Great progress! YGG! That's great that you're stitching the grass as you go. I always leave that type of fill in till I'm done with the other stuff and then cry and moan through the fill in. :P

Your planned trip to New England sounds wonderful! I love it up there.

I hope Jennifer starts blogging, too!

Just seeing that expanse of grass makes me weary. Good work on getting so much of it done.

I hope the air fares stay low for the whole summer. If I can avoid making a 2 day trip by car, I certainly will fly!

That is sooo true about blogging being like popcorn or potato chips. You tell yourself you won't do it and the next thing you know you're thinking up names for your own blog! lol Your ATS is just gorgeous... I'm here cheering you on big time! Love, love, love getting stitch-ass and stitch-elbow. :) Now that's when you know you've done some serious stitchy damage!! Have a wonderful Easter Doris.

Such great progress! I hear you about the stitch arm and ass with stitching that grass. Seeing your grass fill-in brings back memories of doing that. I never thought I'd get through it, but when I did I thought that it wasn't that bad afterall! You're really getting so close to finishing this! And that is so true about blogging. You really get caught up in it. I almost feel like I'm stalking blogs sometimes because of their WIPs or finishes! I hope that your friend does start one though! And six more weeks - I bet your on pins and needles to be free! Sounds like you have a wonderful trip planned!

Oh oh, what wonderful progress, Doris!! And you sound like me, like anyone out here in Blogland could possibly get tired of seeing updates on Eden, or for that matter any wip!!! You are doing so well with it, hope you get some more serious stitching soon, maybe this weekend?

And I am envious, I can't think of a better vacation then going to New England and laughing so much it hurts! Happy for you!!:)

Hi there,

Just thought I would let you know I enjoy your blog. I've been peeking at it now and then.
I love the piece you are working on! I want to do it someday, I'm just scared to death to start it, because it is a very ambitious project! You are inspiring me, so I might have to cave!
Thanks for posting.
